Caroline Mallonée: Dona Nobis Pacem (2003)
Written in response to the 2003 United States invasion of Iraq, this haunting a cappella work is based on an original plainchant. Using only the words dona nobis pacem, the melody weaves effortlessly through the different voice parts, and is heard in inversion and augmentation.
